Measure your Space
Accurate measurements are crucial to a flawless install. Learn the best-practices for gathering measurements to ensure your design will custom-fit your space.
- Gather the necessary tools: You will need a measuing tape and a notepad or digital device to record your measurements.
- Determine the area to be covered: Identify the specific areas where you want to install the wallpaper or window graphics. This could be a single wall, multiple walls, or windows.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect and note any irregularities that may affect the installation. Please note that for a GreenScenes Installation, all surfaces need to be clear of fixtures, devices, counters or cabinets.
- Check your wall texture: Heavily textured walls create problems for wallpaper installation. If you think you have a heavily-textured wall, take a picture of it and send it to info@greenscenes.net.
- Measure the height: Start by measuring the height of each wall or window where you intend to install the wallpaper or graphics. Begin from the floor or sill and measure up to the ceiling or desired height in feet and inches. If you have baseboards or trim, measure up to them and exclude theme from the measurements.
- Measure the width: Next, measure the width of each wall or window. Start from one corner and measure across to the opposite corner in feet and inches. If you have windows or doors within the wall, measure the width of each section separately.
- Upload your dimensions to GreenScenes: Enter the exact height and width of your space, and GreenScenes will produce the precise amount of material required.
- Send a site image to your Order Concierge: After submitting your order, your GreenScenes Order Concierge will be requesting a site photo to review your dimensions and texture of your wall. They will be in contact if additional measurements or an alternate solution is required.
